No three-year anniversary 'spiking the football' for last time Dem Senate passed a budget

The Obama-Biden campaign is 'spiking the football' on the one-year anniversary of the killing of Obama bin Laden. Yet it was oddly quiet when the two-year anniversary of ObamaCare passed in March.

And it was as silent as the underwater terrorist is now when the three-year anniversary of the last time the Democrat-led Senate passed a budget came yesterday.

Fox News and the Wall Street Journal's Steve Moore marked that day...

Failed green energy firm Solyndra leaves behind toxic waste

The Obama White House poured $562 million in taxpayer dollars into the Solyndra sinkhole. The failed solar panel manufacturer has left behind more than a financial mess--you can add toxic waste to its unhappy legacy, as CBS San Francisco tells us.
Three months ago, CBS 5 caught Solyndra tossing millions of dollars worth of brand new glass tubes used to make solar panels. Now the bankrupt solar firm, once touted as a symbol of green technology, may be trying to abandon toxic waste.

It's a tedious process. Slowly but surely, the shattered remains of brand new solar panel tubes head to a recycling plant in Hayward.

Meanwhile the next phase of the company’s liquidation is under way. It involves getting rid of all the heavy metals left inside the building that were used to make the panels.

The Fremont Fire Department’s Jay Swardenski oversees the cleanup. He said some materials, such as cadmium, are toxic, and hard to dispose of.
Not only is green energy not that economical, it's not very clean either.

EPA's Al 'Crucifixion' Armendariz resigns

Drill here, drill now, pay less...
The Obama White House must have really wanted EPA official Al Armendariz out--they didn't event let him quietly 'resign' on their favorite bad news day of the week, Friday.

As with so many of the Obama administration officials, Al Armendariz hails from academia. He's likely headed back there--where he can cause much less mischief.

Armendariz explained his oil industry regulatory philosophy this way two years ago:
The Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean. They'd go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they'd find the first five guys they saw and they would crucify them. And then you know that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.
This man was no public servant. Good riddance.

But the damage has been done. While there have been no crucifixions, gasoline costs twice what it did when Obama was sworn into office.

Ex-GM exec: Ambush elections are payback to unions

A former GM executive states what most people already suspect: that the NLRB's ambush elections rule is payback for the Democrats' Big Labor buddies, CNBC tells us.
A federal rule that fast-tracks elections to unionize workers is nothing more than a political payback to organized labor, former General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said Tuesday.

"I think, look, the whole thing was voted in by a Democratic-controlled Senate. This is the Democratic Party paying back the unions for their support," he said on CNBC's 'The Kudlow Report.'

Lutz said it wasn't a surprise.

"Do we like it? No. Do we think it's a good thing? No," he said. "Will it make America more competitive? No."
